Giving Financial SupportThe Military Cadets of Selfridge is a non-profit and non-political youth development organization dedicated to serving American's youth. We are here to provide the Cadets with the best training possible with the help of the non-paid professionals staffing the organization. We get no financial support from the Government nor any from the Armed Forces and our success comes only from the financial generosity of great Americans interested in its youth. If you would like to make a donation and sponsor the Maine Cadets of Selfridge or the ACA as a whole you can contact our Public Affairs Office or go to the American Cadet Alliance website. www.militarycadets.orgSincerely, Commanding Officer Military Cadets of Selfridge Unit fundraising The Military Cadets of Selfridge have a number of Fundraising efforts to offset certain cost to Parents. These costs include Annual Training, Special trips, and Events for the Cadets. In order for our fundraising efforts to be successful we require a lot of help from our Parents, Cadets, and other family members. Here is a list of our current fundraising events. Bottle Drive Through out the course of the year the cadets are encouraged to go throughout their neighborhoods and collect as many bottles as they can To find out when we will be having our next fundraising event check out our calendar, news area, or contact our public affairs office. Thank you for your Support. Rules Governing Unit Fundraising We do two types of fundraising; Unit and Individual Cadet fundraising and there are certain rules that need to be understood and followed concerning this. You need to understand that any and all the money you earn for your individual cadet account while representing the ACA, the Unit, or yourself as a Cadet of the Unit or the ACA, is property of the unit and can not be used for any other purpose except what it is attended for: To cover your cost for Annual Training **. All money earned must be turned into the Unit Finance Officer and will be kept in the unit bank account. All the money earned by a cadet will be separated out in the unit account for each cadet and will not be used by the unit for its own needs but only for and by the cadet who earned the money. All money earned by a cadet for unit fundraising is property of the unit and must be turned into the Unit Finance Officer for deposit into the unit bank account. All money earned by cadets and the unit that is intended for the unit, will be used by the Unit Commanding officer for the units needs and with the approval of the unit CO to help offset some cadets cost to parents like Special trips and Events. ** All money earned for an individual Cadet account up to and including $300 is strictly for Annual Training. Once a Cadet’s individual account goes beyond $300, the excess money can be used by the individual cadet that earned that money too 1. Purchase uniform items 2. Pay monthly drill payments. Nothing else. All money earned in access of $300 must be turned into the unit Finance officer. Any excess money in the account that you use can not bring the account below the $300 amount.
